In 1938 Eivind and Ragna wanted a change of scenery. They rented out the Nordjordet house and moved to Movatn in the Nordmarka forest with their two daughters.
But this "forest adventure" was brief - the location proved too inconvenient. Until the rental contract with the people living at "Nordjordet"expired, they had to hire a house at Tåsen.
Then the second world war came to Norway with the German occupation in 1940.
In the autumn of 1940, the third child was born, a girl called Dagne. The folk singer Talleiv Røysland and his wife Borghild were her godparents at the baptation.
